Regeneration of cities
The regeneration of cities and suburbs has become an absolute urgency, driven by climate, social and economic imperatives. Faced with the housing crisis, the aging of buildings and the need to reduce the ecological footprint, the “reconstruction of the city on the city” is the major lever for transforming abandoned spaces into resilient neighbourhoods.

Regenerate is:
- Understanding the new needs of the territory
- Change the image of the neighbourhood
- Reorganize the space around new green and blues frames
- Responding to climate challenges
- Connect what is separated in the city
- Supporting a resilient energy model
- Fostering a new collective and solidarity creativity

- The multifunctional regeneration of a HLM building taken as an example is finalised to experiment the possibilities in the field of the realization of a hybrid pole, integrating housing, services, businesses and shared spaces to revitalize the entire neighbourhood.
- Diversification of uses: Beyond housing, the ground floors and different levels are redesigned to accommodate nurseries, health centres, coworking spaces, shops, public services (libraries, neighbourhood town halls).
- The recompositing of the building aims to diversify the types of housing (studios for young people, housing suitable for seniors, apartments of different sizes) to broaden social diversity.
- Renewable energy, storage, transformation of waste, greening, control of growth and efficient maintenance of the plant system, maintenance laboratories and small craft production guarantee buildings an almost autonomous life.
- Residential and public spaces: the outdoor spaces are redeveloped with shared gardens, and new biodiversity corridors to connect the building to new green frames to improve the living environment and integrate the building into a new urban environment.
