The Energy Park

The Energy Park will involve the redevelopment of the areas along the south, west, and north sides of the wastewater purifier building, completing the environmental mitigation program already underway with the rehabilitation of the east side area.

The term Energy park aims to focus not only on the presence of renewable energy production technologies on site (photovoltaic, wind), but also on distribution and information systems serving the community (Juice media information totems, e-bike charging rack, solar-powered H2O distributor).

The overall greenery and biodiversity system will be completed with a bio-lake fed with wastewater from the purifier. The important earthworks, currently leaning against the purifier building without a defined shape, have been reworked to create a new, more satisfying landscape layout, both to mask the building and to delimit the large central space and the bio-Lake. The large wall of the hill, the most characteristic feature of the entire area, is visible from many points in the city and will house a new lookout point at the top, overlooking the sea, reachable via a winding route.

The volumes of earth left over from its remodelling, in addition to those recovered from the construction of the bio-lake, will be used to build the hills on the fitness area side, those around the central grove, and to integrate the southern wall of the purifier building.
On the north side, a bioenergy garden will be created, the first in Liguria, using the technique called “Bioenergetic landscape”, which allows us to measure the effects of the energy fields emitted by plants on the human body to provide benefits and reduce stress.
